When we manage and process your Direct Debits, you probably don’t think about what we do to protect that data. But behind the scenes, we have a team that makes protecting your data our highest priority, ensuring it is both safe and accessible. But we don’t just stop there. We are constantly reviewing our operations to ensure we are robust and that we meet our clients’ expectations.
Over the coming months we will be rolling out to all our clients a new online service that will give you greater control on your Direct Debit service. The data centres we will be using now have the following security measures:
- SSAE 16 audited data centers
- Ballistic-proof exterior, including doors & windows
- Fingerprint scanners and ID checking for all entry and exit of the facility
- Double Man Traps force double verification and provides extra secure data center entry
- Redundant off-site monitoring of all security systems
- Locked cabinets and cages
The data servers are equipped with the latest firewalls and computer internet security updates to help keep your data completely safe.
All communications between our file service and you are encrypted using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This is the same functionality used by banks and popular e-commerce services such as Amazon.com for secure communication. We also offer the ability to store your files encrypted when they are at rest on our servers, adding an additional layer of security.
Our file service’s computer network security is subject to daily security audits by a third-party security monitoring firm. This helps us stay one step ahead of the latest security threats.
We will be in touch with all of our clients shortly to tell you more about this very easy to use service, however if you would like to benefit from this sooner rather than later or have any questions, please feel free to contact your Account Manager on 01293 601111.
