Frequently asked questions

Can I change price plans once I’ve signed up?

Absolutely! You can switch plans at any time – simply pick the plan that seems like the best fit and try it on. You can always change your mind, just let us know and we’ll make sure your plan will change the following month.

Do I need a Service User Number (SUN)?

Yes. To be able to accept Direct Debits you must be approved by your sponsoring bank to do so. They will issue you with a 6 digit number. If you have a SUN already, you will need to check that you are setup for Paperless Direct Debit. We’ve helped hundreds of organisations to setup online Direct Debits, just give us a call on 01293 601111 or email info@rapidata.co.uk.

Will my name appear on my payer bank statement?

Yes. Because you have your own SUN, the bank will ensure your organisation name will appear as the recipient on your payers’ statements. This is particularly good for not-for-profits, as there is evidence that when there’s a different name on the bank statement, this can cause Direct Debit cancellations.

Can I show my organisation’s brand throughout the payment process?

Yes, definitely. With any of our price plans, you can design, build and customise your own Direct Debit pages and payer email notifications. In fact there is evidence that payers are three times more likely to leave a larger gift if they are using a fully branded page that is sitting within the charity’s website.

Can my existing payers be moved to Rapidata?

Yes. Its very easy to move your payers to Rapidata. Simply get in touch with our team on 01293 601111 or info@rapidata.co.uk, and we can help with transferring your payers over with minimum of fuss.

Do I need bank approval?

Yes. Our eDirectDebit pages have been approved by all UK Clearing banks, however as it’s your SUN, you will need to seek approval before publishing the pages live on your website. We have worked with lots of organisations to obtain bank approval, simply get in touch and we can help.

Can I integrate with my CRM software?

We have an API that provides a feed to your CRM. Please get in touch to find out more.

Can you help setup a page for me?

Yes, our Support team are on hand throughout the process. The team will help you set up your eDirectDebit page, and will provide ongoing help and advice for you to optimise and make the most of your page.

When does my free trial start?

As soon as you are setup, your free trial will go ahead for 30 days. After your 30-day free trial, you’ll be transferred onto the price plan that you've chosen.
