Reduce costs – sign-up now to pay us by Direct Debit
As you would expect from a Direct Debit Bureau, Rapidata has offered its clients the choice of payment options which includes Direct Debit. Most of our clients pay us by Bacs transfer or Direct Debit however we are today writing to all those clients that send us in a cheque in settlement of their invoice, to sign-up to Direct Debit.
Why do this?
The time & cost spent generating a cheque for payment and then posting this to us soon adds up and is a cost that your organisation does not need to bear. We do appreciate that payments from your Account may need to be authorised and that is why we will only debit 30 days after the invoice date, making it clear on the Invoice sent to you the amount and date of the claim.
Rapidata has also commented on several articles about the Payments Council review to phase out cheques by 2018 and agrees that this should be done, as long as there is a viable alternative, which we are positive there will be. We have been telling our clients to start reviewing the use of cheques and to start to think of alternative ways to receive payments. We can’t tell people one thing and ignore our own advice, so have started to promote the use of payment by Direct Debit for our Invoices and will also be starting to introduce this payment for all new clients signing up to any of our services.

Sign-up is quick & easy – you can sign-up online or alternatively you can download a Direct Debit Instruction to post to us.
Do I need to do this?
No but we urge you to consider it. We will keep reviewing the processes and will continue to communicate to our clients that still use cheques to start thinking about Direct Debit or Bacs transfer.
