Are you Bacs compliant?

DEADLINE: 13th JUNE 2016

Time is ticking to get Bacs TLS compliant.

Monday 13th June 2016 is the deadline that you MUST comply with the new security update to be able to communicate to Bacs. If you have not upgraded your systems by this date, you will not be able to transmit to Bacs!

Bacs are changing their security from SSL to TLS (Transport Layer Security), which ensures privacy in the connection for Direct Debit and Direct Credit transactions.

We’re all set – are you?

Rapidata has been working with our Bacs software company since last year to make sure we are all set with the new standard. We are ready and submitting using the new protocol.

If you are a client of Rapidata, you can rest easy that we have taken care of all of this, so you can ignore the Bacs emails and relax that we are processing and administering your Direct Debits as normal.

Not a client and haven’t upgraded – Don’t panic, you have a few options:

1. Call your software company to arrange for an urgent software upgrade

2. Call Rapidata for a quote of transferring your Direct Debits to us. We have a simple transfer process to make sure collections are uninterrupted.

3. Think you should be ok but want a bit more peace of mind – call us for a quote for our Bacs Contingency Service

Any questions, concerns or requests for more information, please do get in touch – we would love to hear from you.

…Thank you for your support over the last 24 hours or so. It’s obviously been quite difficult not knowing whether we could submit or not and sometimes these things can be very bureaucratic to sort out. So thanks for responding quickly and efficiently to ensure the file went off today. It’s very much appreciated.
