FRSB Logo Change | Fundraising Article | Rapidata Services

At last week’s Institute of Fundraising National Convention, we went along to a number of seminars. In one online fundraising session, we heard research that demonstrated just how important it is to include trust seals or trade marks, such as the VeriSign and FRSB logo, on donation pages to affect donor change and optimise online giving. It can make all the difference in a visitor’s decision to donate.

Although we knew the benefit of the VeriSign logo on our secure pages, which has always been integrated into our service provision, this was the first time we had really thought about adding the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB) logo to Direct Debit and credit card donation pages. We are always keen to ensure that our secure donation pages enhance every client’s online fundraising strategy and maximise income. The inclusion of trust seals on a charity’s donation page; at a time when a donor is finalising his or her decision to donate can be a powerful spur to give.

So, already, we have implemented a change to our set up process.  All eligible charities (members of the FRSB) that sign up for Rapidata’s secure online giving services will now benefit from the integration of the FRSB’s give with confidence logo on their donation pages. We are now looking at the online pages of all our existing charity clients and will apply the FRSB logo to charities that are signed up to self-regulation, unless we are informed by the charity not to do so.
