Trends in ‘A-Thon’ Fundraising
The top twenty ‘a-thon’ or sponsored events generated over $247M in revenue for Canadian charities and non-profits in 2009. This figure represents an increase of $15million in 2008, as reported by the Top 20 Walks/Runs/Rides 2009 Survey.
This is the second year Artez Interactive has conducted the annual study and the feedback from participating organisations has been hugely positive and really valuable for event managers. Although the data focuses on Canadian charities, it’s a great opportunity for UK charities to learn how our Canadian cousins are growing their event income and to adapt successful ideas to the UK market.
Artez’s VP of Client Services, Dianne Sheridan and Lee Angus, National Manager for the Relay for Life at Canadian Cancer Society will explore the study results and share their outlook on the upcoming 2010 Run, Walk and Ride season.
The seminar takes place at 6.00pm GMT on the 2nd of March 2010 and its FREE! Click here to register today!*
But don’t worry if you can’t make it to the live session, you can always listen to the recording later on. Click here to catch-up on past seminars.
