ALERT: eDirectDebit Secure Hosting Upgrade Schedule
Further to our blog post and client email last month, we can now confirm for you the schedule and important details of your eDirectDebit secure hosting infrastructure upgrade to Amazon Web Services (AWS), the industry leader in cloud computing.
Monday, 19th October from 3pm – A “content freeze” is now in place. This means you must not make any changes to the look or feel of your eDirectDebit sites (via the admin area) as any changes made will be lost. Please note: during this period your payers will still be able to access your sites and sign up to a Direct Debit, and you will be able to run reports.
Tuesday, 20th October around 8am – The hosting migration is scheduled to take place. For a brief period there will be NO access to your eDirectDebit sites, for administrators or payers. Your payers will be taken to a generic holding page that reads: “Our secure online Direct Debit payment platform is currently undergoing routine maintenance secure.edirectdebit.com will be available again as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
Once the hosting migration is completed, the “content freeze” will be lifted (with notification to clients via email) and the system will be monitored for a period to ensure all is working as it should.
